I love it and I want one...not sure if it will look good on my face or even go with my style, but I'll definitely give it a whirl.

HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS

Had to run out to the supermarket right quick to pick up some Tylenol and Motrin for the boogie butt (my 3 year old son). I'm placing all my items on the check out belt and saw all the unnecessary most ridiculous and unflattering stories of Tiger Woods plastered all over the tabloids. What has the media really come to? Though I'm not much one to talk because I followed all the stories of Britney Spears (most untrue, even so I kept up with them) Jessica Simpson and the Kardashian sisters. So my eyes wondered to the bottom of the rack full of magazines and candy and saw the January 2010 Elle Issue with Britney Spears and her boys on the front cover. So of course I picked it up and purchased. Sat on my couch and started reading the issue and found some really cute gift ideas. I've been having issues with finding stuff to buy for the "mother-in-law and father-in-law" and I'm sure you guys come across this problem every year, "What should I buy..." Well no fear my dears I've put together a few nifty and clever gift ideas.

CHIC LITTLE DEVIL EBAY SALE

LA's hot spot for celeb's, stylists, personal shoppers, and even obsessive glam/fashion bloggers...cough cough ish and stiletto covets cough.

CLD is famous for its showroom offering over 49,000 clothes, handbags, and accessories, from over 200 designers. They rent their items out for photo shoots, ad campaigns, movies, etc and sell them on ebay for half the cost, some may be a little overpriced considering they have been worn. Most items are still new with tags! Some of their top designers are Alexander McQueen, Maggie Barry, Black Halo, Chloe, Balenciaga, Manoush, Roberto Cavalli, Betsey Johnson, and much more!

Their showroom has been filmed on MTV's latest show Styl'd where five emerging stylists compete for a contract with MMA as a Junior Assistant. Last episode Chic Little Devil was featured where the interns pulled some great pieces for their project to style Paradisio Girls.

CLD's showroom seems like a gigantic walk-in closet with endless racks of designers pieces. Unfortunately I am not in that area to make an appointment to rage their 9,000sqft closet so I resort to their Ebay store. Searching last night for some fabulous items to put on my "watch list" I found these:

ON THE PROWL

Doing my daily readings on fellow bloggers blogs and I came across a new found feline, Vintage Lollipops. I love her blog and especially her style! As I'm reading her latest post I saw this absolutely wonderful, most desirable faux fur coat. Felt like a fish underwater biting the bait and reels me to her ebay store to not find the faux fur coat for sale! BUMMER. (though I found some great items i'd like to purchase; once christmas is over and my money can be spent on me)

So now I am on the hunt for a similar faux fur leopard coat...not just any but one with a hood!!!

OMG I Can Make My Own Christian Louboutin Shoes!

I was feeling crafty this morning and carried throughout my day. So I went on a venture through the world wide web {since I was at work} trying to find a DIY project that would quench my Craftiness. Came across some pretty interesting projects that I will be trying out and posting here but then I stumbled over this:

So it's casual Friday at work and you are in your closet trying to find what to wear. You're thinking in to yourself, "Well if I wear these jeans today I can't wear them tomorrow and the shoes I want to wear tomorrow go with the jeans I want to wear today" "Oh and I don't get paid today so I can't go out and buy new shoes" Don't make it complicated! REALLY! You can mix and match outfits and still wear pieces to repeat for work and a night out the next day...just don't get it FUNKY! Jeans and Grays always go Great together!!! If you are putting this outfit together for work replace the fur coat with a long slouchy cardigan. Tone it down by just doing a nude lip gloss and carry these in your car to spice it up for an outing after work. Check it out

So What is this Blog All About

Pursuit of Happiness
In attempt to ultimately feel a sense of accomplishment and a sense of making an impact and becoming recognized in this industry I am starting a blog. I will talk about my journey to starting a boutique and getting my fashion line up and running.
I have always dreamed of designing my own women’s fashion line however due to family differences in my education that was not a possibility at a peak time for embarking in that route. I finished my undergrad in a neutral field of study Communication with an emphasis on Interpersonal & Organizational Relations. I moved back to Southwest Florida and began to pursue my dream. I attend a great institution, Academy of Art University, online and getting my Master’s in Fashion Design. It is a tough road but not impossible.
On the Subject of My Line
Some of my tasks to reach this goal are lots of research, traveling, and trying new things-food, clothes, music, culture, and all. I had to come up with an audience to directly focus my designs and be able to perfect detail at a larger scale. During this process I started to think about myself and what I like to wear and it took me back to different occasions in my life where personal matters were changing and so was my wardrobe; so I came up with my alter ego “Katya Kade”. She comes out whenever certain likes and dislikes are triggered and when normally I wouldn’t react to. She is also what I would have been in another life. She symbolizes and defines my line which also reflects many areas of my life.
Culture of my Spirit
I have a keen spirit with passion for many styles; Styles that are well known and others that are indie. Designers like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Nanette Lapore, Rachel Roy, BB Dakota, Yves St. Laurent, Pucci have a special place in my heart. On the outspoken, rougher side I love wearing Patricia Fields, Betsey Johnson, MOB, Goldie Hawk and a few other upcoming designers.
